Criminals are always telling us what they want and need, if but we would only listen. What Mr. Moore and his claque of thugs are telling you in-laws is that they are out of control and need to be stopped. This is a common criminal pattern of behavior.
Telling your elderly - as in elder abuse - in-laws that their home will be seized is an illegal threat which should be reported straightaway to the Federal Trade Commission. Call them immediately to start the complaint and get a case number, follow up with letter giving days, dates, and times of calls as well as their contents.
Write the Attorney GEneral of your in-laws' state and tell them what is happening.
You say your in-laws are upset? My, my, to cause distress and other effects detrimental to health is against FTC rules as well. Be sure to put a report of the upset on file with family doctors and report this to the FTC.
These pucky-flies are claiming your in-laws were supposed to answer some poop-sheet of an excuse of a letter? Another illegal threat, report this to the FTC. Do not talk to these creeps anymore, send the Cease and Desist letter, a sample of which is available on this website. Be sure to state that you wish all communication to be in writing.
Make these crooks pay. Woudn't it be nice for so-called Attorney Moore to be compelled to take up a more constructive line of work, as penalty for his smartness with your family? Perhaps stuffing dead sea gulls as occupational therapy might prove a fine start.
Fight them, burn them, smash these predators with every legal resource available to you, and you have plenty. Not nice to mess with the elderly. Speak to Mr. Moore in the universal language of the predator, it's all he'll probably understand. When they probe, make sure they find steel.

Resourcefully,

Keyser Soze
