Does she have proof that no payments have been made recently ?

If so, they have, typically, illegally re-aged the debt - a nasy FCRA violation.

As for a continuance, you CAN petition for a postponement ONE TIME, but I'd wait until 3-4 days prior to the court date to ask for this. Then you'll have time to get whatever records you need in order.

When DID she last pay on the debt ??
