I want to clear up my debt. I live in NC and believe the SOL is 3yrs. Is SOL just for law suits? or collections in general? When exactly does the SOL start/stop? To totally clear my credit what do I need to do as far as making an offer to a creditor? What is a 1099? obvioulsly I am a newbie and need some help.
