You are beyond SOL on both these accounts. If you make any attempt to "settle" you will be CEMENTING them to your credit report, probably for an additional 7 years.

If you go to my website, you will find a "Letter to CA's re SOL".

If you use that letter, and then dispute to the CRA's you stand a MUCH better chance of getting them removed than by paying a single ¢ to the collection agencies.
