You would use TX SOL, which is 4 years.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think this type of account would be considered an open-ended account - doesn't matter, SOL in TX is the same.

If they get a judgment in KS, it won't do them a bit of good unless they domesticate it to TX. Wages can't be garnished in TX and your home is completely exempt.

The biggest impact would be having the judgment on his credit if its not moved to TX for enforcement.

The only way to find out if he signed anything is to ask for validation. Yes, you can send the lawyer a validation request, but don't make it part of your Answer to the Summons.
