Someone please help!!!

My husband and I recently had a summary judgement placed against us in the sum of $14,000, due to repo of our cars from a local bank. Now their lawyer has ordered us to appear in his office next week for audio and video depositions and want all assest and account information of any kind linking to us to asses our ability to repay the debt. He said is we fail to appear the judge could hold us in contempt of court and we could be placed in jail. Howe could this be true? They got the cars back. The remaining balance is no longer a secured debt is it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, julie
