GS, I'm also in Texas and have so far had success with the "head in the sand" method of credit repair. I'm just waiting it out without drawing attention to myself.

Here the laws are so in the consumer's favor that the CA's usually don't seem to take legal action. Here the city court records are published in the paper. I read all of them. The only suits ever filed are from what appear to be mortgages, Sears or property tax. None of the CA's popular on credit boards have filed suit in the years I've been reading. I think Sears will only sue if you own a home or somehow appear to be able to pay, and just started suing less than a year ago.

I'm past SOL on everything except Sears. That account was sold to RMA two years ago. That may save me. Also, my only income is workers' comp. (two torn discs)
