I have been paying my debt through a consumer counseling service for 3 years. I have 2 more years to go to pay off the whopping $80,000 debt. It's now paid down to $32,000. My husband says that I'm just throwing my paycheck away and that I should just stop paying. He says that nothing will happen, and that our credit is already ruined. We currently live and work outside of the country, but we own a home and a car in the U.S. It's all credit card debt - MBNA, First USA, Chase, Citibank, BAnk of AMerica, etc. Is he right?
