One more bit of advice. Stop threatening your creditors with bk. Just tell them nothing-you don't want a creditor running an asset search and finding out you just transfered a piece of property.
With no wage garnishment in NC you've plenty of time to organize your affairs for a possible bk without worrying about your check being snatched.
