i live in delaware and our house is under my husband's and my name. where can i check if our title deed stipulates the term "tenancy by the entirety"? we are still paying for our mortgage, thus we do not have a copy of our title/deed. can i request our mortgage company for a copy of our title deed? or do i have to check it with our county's register of deeds? reason i am asking is that i learned that creditors cannot put a lien on a debtor's property if the title is defined with a "tenancy by the entirety" phrase. any help will surely be appreciated. thank you...
