Hi WhyChat! I first learned of this type of protection from you in this board a while back. Last month I did some calling around to lawyers about some other issues (non-debt related) and inquired about the Tenancy by the Entirety option to secure the large amount of equity in my property/home. I was told by a lawyer here in St. Louis that the TbtE will not stop a judgement, it will only secure the property from a forced sell. SO in other words, if for some reason we were sued, we could get a lien put in effect on the property, but would not be forced to sell to satisfy the judgement. What do you think of this? I am not in any way trying to undermine the lawyer I asked, I just got different answers to my questions at times about other things when I was calling around and have to kind of pick through the weeds to find the daisies! Any opinions about MO laws in this department? Any idea if this TbtE can make my home judgement proof? I have found some great legal sites for info, but the ones that may be holding the info I need are "Paid Membership Only" sites and well, I can't afford to join them. (Though I was tempted a time or two) I appreciate any info you can share with me! Thanks so much!

MOM
