As far as employment, I believe the theory is that they feel that someone with poor credit history might be more likely to steal or embezzle funds. If one is not handling or accessible to financial assests, it doesn't seem to make sense.

However, Why Chat is probably right about the bonding company. They should probably use other criteria. About four months ago they picked up a woman who had worked for a company for 15 years and managed to steal almost a million dollars.
She was bonded.

Good luck to you in your search. Maybe there is a similar postiion that doesn't require bonding that you could try.
