It really varies a lot by area. The $200 filing fee is set by the court. Then the rest goes to the lawyer. Here in Nashville, I can get a bk for about $750, including the filing fee. Its best to call 2 or 3 BK lawyers for free consultations so you can find out what you'd be looking at.
