I'm still trying to handle an issue on an old car repo from 1996. I spoke to a lawyer (I'm in NC) today who told me that it all hinges on whether the word (SEAL) appears next to my name on the original contract, and if it does NOT appear the SOL is 3 yrs, but if it DOES appear, the SOL is 10 yrs.

Now I'm wishing I had agreed to settle on this debt back when they were offering 30%, since it looks like I'm still liable. Any comments from anyone? LadyNRed? Have you heard anything different from this?

I'm getting worried.
