Since even written contracts have a 3 year SOL in NC, I have NO idea where this "lawyer" dreamed up a 10 year SOL for ANY kind of contract.

I suggest you find a GOOD lwyer to immediately file a lawsuit and an injuntion against the CA who is harrassing you and preventing you from closing on yor mortgage.

A GOOD lawyer will be able to also bring the OC into the case as they have liability under the NC RISA statutes, and the UCC for having their agent (the CA) fraudulently demanding a deiciency on a repo that was illegally done and is WAY past ANY POSSIBLE SOL.
