Keyser's righteous indignation is an inspiration to all, however, you still need to file an answer and notice of appearance.

If you scroll down you will find my website, ("Newcomers") you can have a lawyer or paralegal help you, (NACA site, or bottom of California page for JR), or you can do it yourself with the link at the bottom, "How to answer a lawsuit".

If this was a Discover card and you last paid over 3 and 1/2 years ago,WHOM did you pay to? Discover or a collection agency?

Check your Experian report for the "come-off" date. (subtract 3 years from that date). In addition, in Ca. there is only a 2 year SOL for an account that was taken out without a signed application,so you have several things you can put in your answer, including a countersuit for false and malicious harrassment.

Make sure you do not admit to anything about the account, they MUST prove their case in court, with documentation.
