We are 100K in debt, got there now we are reeping what we sowed. We can't make the payments. We just tried a credit counseling program and have only been in it 3 months and can't do the payments the fourth month We got so far behind in everything including utilities, phone bills, car insurance, car payments, DMV registration, just to pay the amount to the credit counseling co. We couldn't continue to make the payment to the cr counseling agency. We don't own a home, we rent and have paid that on time every month. we have two loans on our cars and those we'd like to keep. I use my car for my business...it "is" my business. I have a personal service business that takes me to clients homes daily.
I don't know what to do now. I thought filing bankruptcy was getting the right attorney, the attorney would handle everything. I now read there are trustees for the creditors and meetings, they'll come take the furniture to sell to pay the debts. Can anyone on this board give me some initial advise.
Thanks
