If making a payment on an otherwise past SOL debt restarts the SOL in Idaho as if I understand correctly it does. (I did this before coming to this site and learning the truth)Does that also mean that a CA can restart the clock for reporting to the CRAs. I had a debt that went delinquent in '94. After much harassment I tried to make some payments in 2000 but it was all going to interest. In 2001 it dropped off my report. It has changed hands several times and last month it showed up on the report again. It was origanally a Utah debt but for the last six years I have lived in Idaho. I have recieved no communication on this for years and called this agency to have it removed (probly opened a can of worms there)as it was never brought current since it got behind nine years ago. Did I subject myself to seven more years of this? They reaged it to 2000. I read the opinions on the FTC website and thought the seven years started 30 days after the account first became delinquent. The balance now is 2 1/2 times greater than the original amount. I tried to deal with this with the OC when I had my problem back then but they refused to work with me at all. Where do I stand? Thanks again for any assistance.
