i live in florida but before i lived in virginia. i had not been paying my husband's card ( or mine at that but i have worked it out with capital one) . It had been a while since i paid and by that time the payments were too high and i could not pay it. Well in Nov. 02 wolpoff and abramson took our platinum financial (providian) acct. I have sent 3 payment totaling 140.00 and we owe 1744.99. i have tried to pay online but the have not processed my check and it has been ove a week now so i got online and maid a credit card payment and agreed to pay 30.00 every month until it is paid off. Well i went to print this page like it said I could but it made my computer freeze. After attempting to 2,3 and even 4 times again I noticed that it had sent over 350 pages plus and I guess that is what is making it freeze. Anyway, I was wondering since i never agreed to pay each month are they planning to sues us for the amount owed or is this part of their plans so I will call them and they will get our phone number so they can bother us. Also do you know if they are the owners of the account since it is a charge off or are they just getting the money?
