What state are you in? It may well be that you are beyond any statute of limitations even if you did write a bad check. JBC are just another bunch of developmentally arrested jackanapes who get money by threatening, harassing, lying, coercing and generally saying whatever it takes.
Do not say one word more to these goons. Ignore their calls, if they get through on the phone hang up. These are con-artists, once they get talking to you they are winning, just like the corner street hustler who wants you to buy packets of dehydrated water for summer camping trips.
Check through the postings on this board, there's quite a bit of discussion of late about JBC, indicative that they are banging around in their cage hoping someone will send them some bananas. Best first to hose it out.
