CA is a community property state.. bad news. Worker's Comp is exempt from garnishment. There are exemptions to what can be siezed, just as in bankruptcy. Your wife's 'interest' in community property is 50%. If her half doesn't exceed the exmeptions, the judgment creditor can't take any of it.
