I hope I am following your directions. I am sending a letter to the lawyer and also to the court (anything I send to the court has to go to the lawyer and vis-versa according to the disbute form that I already sent) stating that the statue of limitaions is up. I keep reading where some states you reset the clock by making a payment and/or agreeing to make payments. My credit reports list last activity as 3-96. Where can I find out if I reset the clock by making payments? I live in COLO. Would the lawyer still take me to court for a judgement if the sol is up? The charge off amount was only $1296. They are asking for $1396 (clerical error probably) interest 1065.63 attn fee 300.00 and court cost of 97.56 TOTAL 2784.81.Court date set for Aug.15. I really need to know if I reset the clock. Thanks Soooo much for your help.
