They will never stop collecting because there are CAs out there who are the low of the low who will buy the debt at 1/2 a penny or less on the dollar and continue to collect. There are enough of them to just bounce it around. There are tons of them around so when they hit that wall they just resell. If you have a bad OC like discover they will sue you. You may have nothing now but you never know in the future and in some states the SOL is tolled if you are out of the states.
