Here's my experience with the online disputes:

Equifax offers very little except a few pre-determined bullet statements. If you want to customize, like adding a personal statement or other pertinent issue, you have to send a hard-copy letter (however, all of my disputes have been worked on in due time when I did that).

Experian offers a little more for disputing, but the space in the box (for your comments) is pretty small. Detailed explanations should have a letter sent.

TransUnion offers the best disputing tool in my opinion. You have more room for your statements, and you can correct items line-by-line - I haven't had to write a hard-copy to them in quite a while.......


Just my opinion, of course.........
