Notifying CRAs letter sent to CA's

I have my two green cards for letters I sent to two CAs for bills/collections that had run the SOL. I found the letter on the whychat site to send to the CRAs. When I send that letter and a copy of the green card to the CRAs these two outdated...one actually redated on my credit report...will be removed? Or at least that is what is supposed to happen? Thanks.
