I called over n over again to equafax, i faxed them a copy of my license, ss card, insurance card and an electric bill. Had to do it twice and it still didnt work.

What you need to do is call over the phone, use the electronic voice mail thingie and state your info w/ your SS#. they will snail mail you a copy of your credit report.

Once you get that in hand you can dispute what ever is wrong on it.

I found out why I couldnt get my report, and why it wouldnt verify over the net and/or phone. I had a credit card thru JCPenny and they were way off w/ my SS#. Dont know how that happened, but I knew it was my debt, I had just paid it off.

After I got my credit report in the mail, I had to send a letter (snail mail) to equafax stating that I wanted them to update my credit report. I also had to send in 3 forms of ID.

I know its a MAJOR pain in the rear. I went thru it last summer. I couldnt tell you how many times I called them! And how many people I talked to. And they all basically said the same thing, "I cant talk to you unless you have the case file numbers on your credit report" Yet,,, you cant get a report because they dont believe you are you.
