The official "rule" is that the 7 years starts 30 days after you first missed the payment that resulted in a chargeoff. It should appear on your CR as 30 day late. Go by that date. By the way you may have more than one 30 day late, or even 60, 90, or 180 days late. The important one is the 30 day that led to the chargeoff.
