Re: June 20, 2003 at 10:03:27:

I sent my UPS proof of delivery and shipping receipts to both the CA and Comcast, and the CA said that the debt was valid (even though Comcast received the cable box and modem about 2-3 days after I sent it).

Should it make a difference if my husband sent it instead of me (since my name is the same as his anyways)? What would make them say the item wasn't received when they in fact signed for it?

I'm in the process of filing a consumer complaint with the Maryland attorney general and the FTC, for extortion, copied to both the OC and CA. If the mediation (through MD) doesn't get anywhere, can I take them to small claims court?

Is this the right thing to be doing, since I obviously can't get anywhere with either one?

Please advise, this is driving me crazy!
