Settled will definately destroy your credit report. The problem is the word 'request'. they cannot make citibank do anything. They can put something in there that states it will be deleted but it would not hold water. I can also tell you as I have a paid chargeoff from citibank that is 6 years old that they keep long records. I have tried a dozen disputes and cannot get it off even after 6 years.
