It really depends on circumstances over which you have little control.

IF your State has a LONG judgment period, and IF the CA who has purchased your account has a BUNCH of similar cases in the same area to file, then you WILL get sued.

Look up on line in your jurisdiction the name of the CA's who have your accounts, pull up the court data on each case filed by them in the past 6 months.

That will give you a better idea.The notion that they won't file because they are afraid to precipitate a BK is nonsense,they file suits on the same basis as any other collection activity,whatever is easiest for them to do with the best chances of a positive result.

All your "validation" did was to take it out of the hands of the "soft collectors" and put it into the hands of the "hard" collectors who will likely file suit about 6 months before your SOL is up.
