I don't mean to assess risk so I may charge up more debt [before some hypothetical default]. Rather, I meant to assess the situation so I may decide whether to 1.) declare BK; 2.) work out a personal payment plan or to consolidate debt; 3.) approach the CC companies with an 'on-the-dollar' settlement; or 4.) simply 'let it go' and face the collectors' tin-pan orchestra -- the last, a legitimate & legal option. My current debt is simply a fait accompli, and paying it all back is beyond the means of my unexpected new circumstances. -- Cheers, Armadillo
