File BK- tell the relative to keep the $$ for when you might need some help later.

You cannot do what you want to do, once you setle with one, the rest will file suit to get you.

If you then file BK they will object as you have paid "preferentially"

Have the trusted relative open up a joint account with you under his name for your new checking account, and keep under $100. in the old one.
