What is our next step?

OK, so far I've determined that in our case it's wise NOT to file BK, because all but three of the accts. are at the SOL - the other three will be within the next year. Within 2-3 years of SOL they'll be removed from our CR. The creditors are not currently hounding us or seeking action.
What should we do next? I've been researching the last two days, and I'm overloaded with info.! Do we address any errors on our CR at this time or wait? Do we try to re-establish good credit or will that draw the attention of CA's?
Our immediate need is housing. The house we're living we're renting is on the market, so we'll have to move when it sells. We're worried about qualifying for another rental home until we're able to buy.
Our goal is to get our credit in good enough shape to buy a house in 2 years.
Any help/advice would be appreciated! I'm in a quandry!
