I got this off the ARS website after someone posted it here. You are most likely to succeed in the collections industry if you have some experience in one or more of the following occupations / fields: Retail Sales Car Sales Insurance Sales Telemarketing Insurance Subrogation Law Enforcement Armed Forces Theatre Experience I can understand car and isurance sales -- you've got to be part liar, part sleezy, and part greedy. Telemarketing -- no skills whatsoever, lazy, and kinda desperate for work. Theatre experience -- well, there's the lying again. You also know how to act like a jerk when you are really a nice person and vice versa. But what in the hell do law enforcement and armed forces have to to with being a good collector? Perhaps they meant ..crooked cops and dishonorably dischared veterens would make good collectors.
