When I was a teenager, my mother added me onto her NationsBank (now Bank of America) checking account so that I could have ATM access in case of emergency (I had just started driving). Unfortunately, my mother did not handle the account properly, and in 12/99 it was charged off. I never saw statements for the account, had nothing to do with it, and just used the ATM a few times over the course of the 2-3 years that I was on the account. Of course, it was reported to Chexsystems, and a judgement was entered against both me and my mother. This whole thing basically ruined my financial life before it even got started. Is there anything I can do? I never wrote a check against the account (I never even had any checks to write) and I was under 18 when I was added to the account (if that matters). Please, somebody help. Thanks
