Discover sold my account to Unifund

I've read many posts saying Discover always sues but they sold mine to a place called Unifund Corp. Anybody have any ideas as to why they sold mine?
And also, anything about Unifund Corp.? Are they sleazy like Camco? I couldn't find much on them except Bud Hibbs says they're a debt scanvenger. I think that means they buy accounts for 2-3 cents on the dollar.
