The law is pretty clear,unless the original creditor is IN Florida, or the CA is soliciting for Florida clients, they can use normal collection activities. Of course they must be careful as Fl FDCPA laws still must be followed, and they cannot threaten legal action if they are not in a position to carry it out. In general, however, Fl in recent years under it's current administration has been very lax about upholding ANY consumer laws.
