Beautifully said. Some, perhaps newcomers to this board, might consider the appelations heaped upon these vicious savage mutants to be harsh, judgemental, desultory. They are if anything charitable. The only difference between a collector and a serial killer - by definition they perpetrate against individuals of like profile repeatedly, obsessively, uncontrollably - is that the serial killer has true courage, honesty, forthrightness so to speak. Yes, this is a relative comparison of course. A bit of hyperbole for illustrative purposes yet all true. Collectors are just thugs who gain a perverted pleasure of sorts by the harassment, intimidation, and coercive extortion of strangers. A serial killer, a mobster, a mugger will show his face on the street to perform his crimes, thus esposing himself to detection and apprehension. It takes a certain amount of bravado to do this. Collectors are so riddled with inadequacies that they must first hide in some men's room of an office, use an assumed name, and use a telephone to insulate themselves from retaliation from their victims. This is the profile of the inadequate although somewhat organized criminal. Examples on the street are the peeping toms who progress along the continuum to serial killers, provided of course they do not turn their lives around, die or become apprehended. When you, dear reader, encounter one of these 'collections professionals' on the phone which of course they hide behind whilst invading the sanctity of your home remember this little profile albeit abbreviated. These are deviant, inadequate thugs. The only lower life forms within the corporate structure would be the owners of these extortion enterprises. They dare not soil their hands with the blood and tears of their victims, electing instead to hire borderline personality types - 'collections professionals' -to perform their dirty work for them. Makes it easier to attain respectability and use one's ill gotten gains to join the Grosse Pointe Club, the Bal Harbour Yact Club, the Dallas Poofter Society, and other fine enclaves of the corporate elite. In that, as pointed out, these scumpanies exploit IRS tax codes as well as debtors, they surely qualify as all time champs in the League of Corporate Welfare Queens. Just some passing thoughts, other than that, I've no opinion on the matter. Matter of factly, Keyser Soze
