My hubby and I had two nextcard accounts. One was sold to Merrick and they sent a ca after me. I requested validation, but they never validated.

My hubby he still gets bills from Nextcard and they are still charging the interst and late fees. The debt should have already been written off. We stopped paying in 6/02. All the bills we receive still show the Nextcard account and request payments be made to Nextcard.

On our credit report it shows included in bk that we had back in 2000. This is showing on both of our credit reports and on all 3.

I am hoping my dealings with Merrick Bank is dead in the water but I am still waiting on the other. When we received notification from the FDIC that they were in control of the other acct 4 or 5 months had already passed.
