Got a letter Thursday trying to collect on a $987.00 Montgomery Wards debt. Letter said was charged on in Feb. 1992. It was from a Cap. One subsidiary (Westmoreland Agency) which said it had bought the debt. I have a $400 limit Cap. One Visa card on which I owe about $150.00

I lived in Atlanta when this debt occured, now live in Texas.

Here are my questions:
1. Is this too old to sue over or appear on my credit report?
2. Should I worry about having a Cap One credit card?
3. Can I just tell 'em to take a long walk off a short pier?
4. How long before they start to call???

It's a bogus debt created by my ex wife during a divorce without my knowledge anyway.

Thanks! Jon-Boy
