Not necessarily. The 4 years starts when you first went delinquent and never again got the account current. So, if your last payment was in 11/2000, then the SOL won't run out until 11/2004 !

You need to find out EXACTLY when your last payment was to figure this out. If you haven't already done so, you need to pull your credit reports, the dates there will help you figure out the SOL.
