The "chargeoff" date is not the one you need to know,you need to know what your first default date was. Your Experian report will show the "come-off" date, if you subtract 7 years and 1 month, you will get the correct starting date of your State's LEGAL SOL.

It is NOT,in my opinion, a good idea to "settle" with a CA, or indeed to pay them a ¢.

In many States, if it is beyond the legal SOL, it is also illegal for the CA to continue any collection activities.

If your accounts are beyond the legal SOL for your State, you can send them the SOL letter from my website.

P.S. It is not a good idea to e-mail a poster who "asks" you to do so, many many many scam artists are looking for victims, and this one spells and is as ungrammatical as a previous troll ca who posted here.
