We have and are dealing with Capital one collection attorney. We sent an answer letter back after getting a summons for a judgement against my husband. We settled for payments a month,but not for the 22.47% they wanted per annum. We settled for $150.00 + 10% interest per annum. By the way,do not think that per annum means they can only apply the interest once a year,we found out the hard way,after settleling that they can do the interest once a week or once a month etc. Oh and yes,when you send an answer letter,put in there that Cap One collection attorney must appear in court,ours got by with just being on speaker phone from there office. Our Magistrate even left the room and let us talk on speaker phone and settle. LIVE AND LEARN I GUESS! If we ever(hope not) have to go to court again over this crap things will be different thats for sure! Good Luck.
