Disputing DOES work, but if you let the CRA's get away with their LAME EXCUSES for 'verifying', then you will be doomed. You have to be persistent and a thorn in their side. You have to keep at them until they obey the law.

You also may need to parallel disputes with validation. Make the creditor PROVE you ordered anything, signed anything to create an obligation. USPS says anything sent to you in the mail that you did NOT order or request is yours to keep - billing you for something you did NOT request could be considered mail fraud.

There are all kinds of angles and methods to use, but one dispute, over the phone, will not usually work.
