1 - If you've already been late, the bad entry is already on your credit report. Earliest it takes 30 days to appear on your report, other creditors don't report monthly and it could take up to 90 days to show.

2 - NO ! Creditors do NOT collaborate. BUT, once one sees bad marks from another on your credit report, they WILL lower your limits, jack up your interest rates and possibly even cancel your account.
