If you are indeed dealing with a lawyer, you should report his/her conduct to the Bar Association in your state. File a complaint and don't back down.

BTW, you should check on Why Chat's website for the exemptions for your state. The only way anyone (other than student loans and irs) can touch your property is through legal means AFTER
they have obtained a judgment. Deoending on your state, a lot of your property may be exempt.

Bullies can only push you around if you give them control. You have taken the first step by making them communicate in writing. Do not impoverish yourself or give up your retirement accounts to make them money.
