Hello everyone. I am in Texas and wage garnishment is only allowed for certain situations, like IRS and child support judgments. I took out a payday loan online with a company in Canada, and also signed a wage garnishment agreement. I had no intention of defaulting but they tried taking money out of my bank account when they said they wouldn't, thus putting me in the red. This is the only company I've dealt with that requires you to repay the loan immediately(on the next payday)and that has asked me to sign the agreement. My question is does the agreement hold up in Texas since wage garnishments aren't allowed here? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer and PLEASE, stay away from these so-called loans!
