Dear A Tutorial;

Thank you for this most appreciated informative posting. Your allusion to purveyors of credit as aking to narcotics dealers is most apt, personally the latter group are blessed with a better sense of ethics, a higher regard for humanity relatively speaking.
Very much of interest was your listing of CEO names and compensations. Sanford Weil of Citibank has been much in the news over the last few years, some sort of minor infractions resulting in a high multimillion dollar settlement with the government. Nice man, plus compassionate, too also.
Remember as well the words of Terrence J. Murray upon his departure from Fleet, "Get Judgements". That was his edict to his black winged minions. Didn't matter if banccard customers could pay, had paid, were trying to settle, just get judgements. Why? So that they can be ever permanently yoked to the credit & collections nightmare gulag, another great nineteen-nineties invention.
Small point of interest more to shareholders in any of the above fine institutions, perhaps the CEO's hope none have noticed the abysmal stock market of the last three years, only presently at long last showing some signs of improvement. Some who write of such matters have pointed out that despite plunging stock prices and yields the CEO salaries have nonetheless risen handsomely. In other words their motto might read:"we give you less for your money" or "the poorer my product the more I am paid for it." All part of the 'new economy' no doubt but in light of the murderous viciousness exercised against some debtors by the spike-tailed collection henchmen of the likes of "Sandy" Weil, a point perhaps worthy of bearing in mind when being told of our 'obligations'.
Appreciatively,

Keyser Soze
