I would check your state statutes. I know in my state that I can appeal any type of garnishment, bank or wages, if my spouse has been unemployed within two months before the garnishment occured. Or if the money is exempt from garnishment. In Kansas you have to file a debtors request for reconsideration. Sometimes you can call or go to the courthouse to obtain this form.
