trans -union has on my credit file(and they are the only one)a tax lien from 1990 when my bookkeeper didn't pay $100 to the state. A lien was filed. The state informed me that it was going on my credit report.(What can you say ?) I paid the debt and have release papers.trans union still has this on my credit file.Experian and equifax do not.Who is supposed to take this off my credit file ?I thought the same ones who put it on there would ,once it was released.I have copies of the release and they have only had about 10 years to report this and have it removed. At any rate ,how do I go about it ?
